He begins as an overgrown 10th class kid, who's blinded by his ambition, and becomes a man when he finds his purpose in life high up in the snow-capped mountains. Yevade Subramanyam will go down as one of Nani's best films irrespective of its fate at the box-office.
Rating: 3.25/5
First half of the film offers fun. Second half is about self discovery and visiting Doodh Kashi. This is a film that appreciates simple things in life and gives the real definition of living. At the same time, it’s not a preachy film. Most of the film is narrated with humor. Plus points of the film are profound philosophy, performances, dialogues and sensible direction. On the flipside, the episodes leading to Doodh Kashi should have been more sharp. On a whole, Yevade Subramanyam is a nice movie and you may watch it!
Rating: 3.25/5
‘Yevade Subrahmanyam ‘ is not your average commercial entertainer. It is a movie that is rooted in philosophy, in the concepts of Dharma and self realisation. Nani deserves praise for bringing this sweet, clean and enjoyable journey of self discovery to life.
Rating: 3.0/5
Yevade Subramanyam is not a regular commercial film. It is a different movie which deals with philosophy of life. The film is very emotional and also entertaining at the same time. First hour has some good moments to cherish. Real soul of the film lies in the second half. The film gets understandably slow during this part, but the director should have shown some urgency in wrapping up the things.
Rating: 3.0/5
If one looks at the format, it is like many English and Hindi films that one had seen in the past, but Yevade Subramanyam scores in terms of providing a new visual narrative to Telugu audiences looking for something different from heavy-duty blockbusters.
Rating: 3.0/5
On the whole, Yevade Subramanyam is a coming of age film which is bound to do well in the A centers. Interesting story, well executed first half and Nani’s performance are huge assets. On the flip side, a slow second half and lack of basic entertainment will not go well with the mass audience and limit the reach of this decent film to an extent.

Yevade Subramanyam is one of those rare films where your heart gets deeply connected with the film and you leave the theater with thought about what you are…
Rating: 3.0/5
Yevade Subramanyam is watchable for its refreshing script, rich visuals and for some nice performances from the cast. Miss of emotions and dragged 2nd half played the spoil sport. Finally, a decent attempt by young director Nag Ashwin
Rating: 2.75/5
Yevade Subramanyam takes off at an acceptable pace with engaging story line and couple of comedy bits, which is completely lost in the second half, as silence takes the escort in as many scenes during their Dudh Koshi trip. Climax is something to watch for.
Rating: 2.75/5
Nag Ashwin on debut tried to come with different story and that must be appreciated. The story has lot of scope to spellbound viewers but Nag Ashwin's inexperience spoiled the show. In the first half he tried to highlight the current generation peoples selfish mentality and how they are not trying to explore the human nature of the surroundings. But he failed to answer all these questions in the second half. Slow second half spoil the show. He failed with his screenplay and direction. He couldn't establish the romantic part between Nani and Malavika Nair.
Rating: 2.5/5
Yevade Subramanyam appeal only to few
Rating: 2.0/5
To keep in on front, this isn’t a regular commercial film with songs, fights and blah blah. The line picked by Nag Ashwin had lot of potential to deliver a philosophical classic. He wished to have said more and more but ended in less of what his theme has to actually concentrate on.
Rating: 2.0/5
Promising promos of Yevade Subrahmanyam will lure the audience to go and watch this rom-com but after viewing the complete picture, you will feel you are in the middle of dim tale of self-discovery.
Rating: --
A Gamyam-like theme that is packed with a few good moments and that's all. Cliched narration is its biggest minus, besides total lack of any surprises in the second half.
