First half is filled with the mischief of both Avika and Raj Tarun. Tempo increases in the second half. The movie becomes more entertaining with the twist by Avika in the climax. Director proves that a small story, with small stars, within a small budget can earn big results.
Rating: 3.5/5
The only trivial drawback is its penultimate 20 minutes, which is too predictable and delves into an emotional zone for long time. The good news is that ends in a light-hearted manner, bringing back the grin you were carrying from the start of the movie.

The writing is clean and entertaining while the music and cinematography also pack in enough innocence and freshness to keep you hooked. Whether you like it or not, you wouldn't feel too bad about the time spent on watching it.
Rating: 3.5/5
Virinchi Varma’s direction is pretty good for a first timer. Dialogues have good depth. Cinematography is a big asset for the movie. Sunny’s background score is good.
Rating: 3.5/5
‘Uyyala Jampala’ is all together a romantic cute film that will bring you smile at the end. Cute, emotional and neat performances in the film will give you a glimpse of break from routine masala films. If you want some neat and clean family entertainer , don’t miss it.Take a final call
Rating: 3.25/5
This is simple but cute romantic movie almost treated to perfection. Instead of watching a big commercial film that doesn’t gives any guarantee for your money better prefer this movie that completely justifies your money.
Rating: 3.25/5
Virinchi Varma makes a good debut as director with the film. His real success with Uyyala Jamapala is that he makes people connect to the characters. Two things, good performance and perfect set up, allow these connect to happen and the director has to get credit for this.
Rating: 3.25/5
It’s been a long time since we saw a commercially acceptable small budgeted pure/sweet love story that is packaged well and presented it to the movie lovers with proper release strategy. Uyyala Jampala reminds me most of recent successes of small budgeted films from Yashraj Films (Band Baja Barat etc). Films that are done with precision and offer pleasant entertainment to the audiences. Plus points of the film are freshness, casting, performances, entertainment, direction and sensibility. Uyyala Jampala is a sweet love story and a family entertainer. You may watch it.
Rating: 3.25/5
‘Uyyala Jampala’ is a small and cute little romantic film that will make you smile at the end. There are good emotional scenes and fine performances in the film that offset some of the issues like a flat first half. If you are looking for a clean family entertainer this weekend, look no further.

Uyyala Jampala is a very simple film. Watch out for its lead hero's sincere effort.
Rating: 3.0/5
It is a good movie to watch. It is not filled with routine stuff of a commercial movie but it makes one to feel good to watch it. It gives a feeling of living in an unpolluted world.
Rating: 3.0/5
Story of the film is simple and routine cute love story between two cousins. Director keeps it simple and straight to easily connect the character of the story. First half of the film breezes off with a wonderful pace. Director failed to make that moment click and the pace in second half slows down considerably.
Rating: 3.0/5
Overall,a decent film.It may not become a huge commercial hit as Shekar Kammula's Anand. But it will have its moments of success. The film has already been sold out for a good figure to a T.V. channel.I should say, a good one to watch over this week. But you should be little bit patient and go with a peaceful mind.

yyala Jampala is as simple and as natural as its title. It is a cute love story of confused cousins. First half of the film breezes off with a wonderful pace. You will instantly love the characters and follow them right from the start. Director kept it simple and straight so that we don't need much time to get connected with the characters.

Uyyala Jampala is set in a village backdrop and offers a pleasant experience. Debutant director Virinchi Varma leaves his mark as director though it had its own flaws. The genre or the story is not new to Telugu audiences as we have seen similar films of two youngsters realizing their love after growing up together and sharing love-hate relationship. Nuvve Kavali, Nuvvu Leka Nenu Lenu are similar such stories but what makes Uyyala Jampala different from the formers is the village backdrop and pleasant viewing experience. The dialogues are natural and characters are quite near to real-life.
Rating: 3.0/5
If you had watched Nuvve Kavali, you are bound to see some similarities between that film and Uyyala Jampala. The story of two people growing up together without realizing the love they have for each other forms the crux of both the stories. But Uyyala Jampala stands out in the way the director has handled the story. It’s a story set in a village that has dialogues from every day life. It is this natural feel that makes the film appealing. You don’t realize when the first half ends.
Rating: 3.0/5
It is common to see love stories between youngsters but what is important is the way the whole thing has been packaged. In this film, the first half was not that impressive because everything is slow and there is nothing gripping. It is only the second half where things pick up and hook the viewers. However, the climax could have been smooth without a quick ending. Overall, this is a film which scores on technical values and decency. At the box office, this would be an average grosser.
Rating: 3.0/5
Uyyala Jampala is as simple and as natural as its title. It is a cute love story of confused cousins. First half of the film breezes off with a wonderful pace. It does not boast of a fresh story. The content seems to be a ready mix of several films, but the presentation is fine. Though the film drags in the first half, post interval it picks up the pace and there are many nice elements that makes it worth a watch.
Rating: 2.75/5
Lot of craze was generated on the film with top producers being part of the project. The way director Virinchi Varma handled a smooth story bowls all. He showed small fights, childish attitude between cousins beautifully.
Rating: 2.75/5
Love stories and that too between youngsters are always common but the way they are presented with the right emotion and feel is important. This film has been made with a lot of caution and focus is more towards providing a clean romantic treat than spicing it up with some comedy or entertainment values.
Rating: 2.75/5
Unlike the typical full length entertainers made in Konaseema backdrop, ‘Uyyala Jampala’ falls short in many aspects. The archetypal scrim and charming one-liners gratify the show to an extent. The project being made with a very low budget, the pace of execution and production values imbibed make ‘UJ’ resemble more of a TV serial and less of a movie. Complete first half was you or me kind a game of wits between Bava and Maradalu. Fun would have been more in these scenes which ran on a dry note.
Rating: 2.5/5
Uyyala Jampala does not boast of a fresh story. The content seems to be a ready mix of several films, but the presentation is fine. Though the film drags in the first half, post interval it picks up the pace and there are many nice elements that makes it worth a watch.

A thin line divides a small, beautiful film from a boring one. First time director Virinchi Varma walks this line well, giving his characters traits we can relate to. A few scenes linger long after we walk out of the hall — Uma at first disinterested and later giving in to gluttony and polishing off rice and chicken cooked by Suri’s mother; Suri gradually learning not to spoil Uma’s elaborate rangoli; Uma and Sunita (Punarnavi) taking turns to walk in front of Suri trying to catch his attention and so on.
