Rating: 2.75/5
With Rey, Sai Dharam proves that he has the talent to go a long way. Interesting backdrop, climax and Sai’s dances are basic assets of this film. On the flip side, lag in narration and excessive length spoil the flow of this film which is aimed only at the youth.
Rating: 2.5/5
He came with routine story which even a kid can guess. To make matters worse he failed miserably in screenplay and direction. One gets an impression that even an amateur could have done a better job. He missed logics at many points. Dialogues are below standard and nothing in the story impresses. Wonder how mega family gave green signal for this project and that too as Sai’s debut film.
Rating: 2.25/5
First half is okay with Sai and Saiyami's performances. Second half is hardly acceptable until the last 20 minutes with some comedy and Shraddha Das. Finally, things end up in style.
Rating: 2.0/5
Rey has nothing to be talked about except the efforts Sai Dharam Tej has put in. We don't know if Rey is really a shout for success or not, it surely is a Shout for Exit from audience in the theaters.
Rating: 2.0/5
A simple and tighter movie could have been made with dance background and their rivalries. Even with musical and over the top structure one could have had a far better movie if only the intention was to make one without the silly regressive digressions.
Rating: 2.0/5
Outdated dialogues, over-the-top presentation, poor screenplay and logic-less direction makes the film a failure. A decent business for Rey is expected in B and C Centres because of the mass orientation and Mega Fan Base. Only a miracle could save Rey as around Rs 20 crore were invested on this project. It is a below average film.
Rating: 2.0/5
Sai Dharam Tej’s performance is good. Sayomi makes no impression; she is the wrong choice for the role in view of her poor dance skills. Shraddha as ever performs well in yet another vamp role. YVS should have taken care to write a good script instead of banking on names of mega star, NTR, Pawanism, Prince etc.
Rating: 2.0/5
It is Sai’s film if we consider his strenuous efforts at getting his dance near perfect. Unlike in his first film ‘Pilla Nuvu Leni Jeevitham’, he is more energetic here, at least in some sequences. Otherwise, he was more endearing in his first. Saiyami Kher and Shraddha Das compete with each other to look glamorous.
Rating: 1.25/5
Rey which kept mega fans wait eagerly disappoints them completely. Chowdary who made the film with rich values failed to do the same with his direction and screenplay. It will be odd to see people in West Indies and US speak easily in Telugu.
Rating: 1.0/5
All-in all, a sequence of illogical, mind-bogling, silly, unnecessary scenes make Rey a movie you can happily miss. Certainly a brute remark. But then, the movie doesn't show you any lenience
Rating: 1.0/5
Rey is a pinnacle of YVS downfall which started with Okka Magadu. Even hardcore Mega fans will not have the heart to sit down for the entire film such is the torture.
