Finally Rabhasa is definitely not the blockbuster hit that NTR was desperately looking for. But some entertaining comedy and NTR’s one man show, will surely make the general audience lap up this average entertainer during this festive season.

Everyone expected a good Vinayaka Chavithi feast from NTR. He almost served all the items but in very limited quantity. For those who expect a big bang from NTR may be disappointed. For those who are satisfied with a masala movie and a festive outing, Rabhasa would be just OK.

Rabhasa neither have a good story nor arresting screenplay. You could easily guess that it would be an unending routine fare right at the start of the film. Rabhasa follows all the cliches and excludes all the logics to reach the interval point. Viewers who have watched tons of Telugu films will expect that there will be a big twist or bang before the break. But director tried something differently and ended the first half without any bang.

Santosh Srinivas selected a routine story and depended on NTR's power to score hit. NTR didnot disappoint him. He showed various mannerisms to thrill fans. First half sails through without any real twists and second half is high on sentiment. Brahmanandam's role saved the film providing rib tickling entertainment. Though the film got nothing new, NTR's performance, Brahmanandam's comedy and film's perfect run time makes it a good entertainer for the masses.

If interpreting the movie from only Tarak’s point of view, he has a safe film on hand. After facing humiliating flops, this is a far better film but undeniably, he can do far far far far more super films than these million times beaten mix masalas. If Young Tiger has to get up in the ladder of Tollywood top league, he has to roar like a thunder which is not the case with Rabhasa. BO wise, the short shelf life period of Rabhasa might save Bellamkonda.

The entire story gets revealed in the first thirty minutes itself. Except for the college scenes on NTR-Samantha-Praneetha, songs and a couple of comedy scenes, the first half look uninteresting. Even the interval bang is normal and the action scenes in the movie are over-the-top without the impressive twists. NTR is the only saving grace of the first hour.

First half of the film is a little disappointing. Second half is better. A few of Brahmanandam’s scenes are handled well. Plus points of the film are NTR’s performance and a few of Brahmi’s episodes in 2nd half. The minus point of the film is lack of freshness and a complicated screenplay. This film is made with mass orientation and the success will depend on how masses take it!

There is lag in the film’s first half. Action episodes blasted the minds of audience in the first half. Even though they looked good, there were few unrealistic sequences like bouncing of the people and the cars. Praneetha’s role is short but she is entertaining. Plots confused audience to some extent as it has four families involved. Second half came as a bang from Brhami. His comedy was on peaks and he made audience literally fall on floor laughing.

Overall, Rabhasa may not have good story, but it promises to entertain you sound production values and wonderful performances by actors. It is a good action comedy entertainer. It will be a grand treat for the fans of Junior NTR and Brahmanandam.

There are 3 good things to talk about Rabhasa. First one is about the Young Tiger who did everything to entertain audience. NTR’s charismatic presence has covered lot of loopholes in the script he pulled off the character of Karthik with ease.Brahmanandam has become a pivotal artist in the star hero’s films these days and he is the saving grace in the second half.

Watch Rabhasa for NTR’s rocking show and second half entertainment. The festive season, Nandamuri hero's mass fan following and film’s entertainment will mint some big figures at the box-office for the first day and weekend.

Check with your patience if it makes you sit till the second half where few comedy scenes come to your rescue. Tough to say 'A one time watch' even.

Director Santosh Srinivas claims that the movie will remain as a landmark in NTR’s career. Brahmanandam’s comedy with NTR has been a hit in Adhurs and Rabhasa is also likely to create tickles. While Producer Bellam Konda Suresh has spent around 40 Crores to bring top quality of the flick.

The trend of mixing action with entertainment and sentiment has picked up strongly and this is one such example. The first half goes around with elements of action, comedy and some romance. The interval bang was promising. The second half was more on the emotional front but good comedy was there. The climax fight was nice. Overall, this is a film which appeals to the commercial audience and fans of NTR. At the box office, this can be a decent grosser.

While the script does show some promise initially, it fizzles out eventually as the film becomes reminiscent of ’80s faction films. Only this one chooses comedy over action to put across the message of love and universal brotherhood. Rabhasa does have its moments, like the entry sequence of NTR and a couple of comedy scenes, but there is nothing spectacular about the film. And coming from NTR, it is a major dampener.

Santosh Srinivas came with nothing new in the film. First half completes with hero trying to impress heroine and second half includes in hero making fool of villains by staying in their house. Viewers have seen that umpteen times and even a kid can guess the next scene.

Rabhasa is the one man show of NTR well complimented with some excellent comedy from Brahmanandham. Like most films these days, the film is less on substance more on comedy. But some how Telugu audience have developed high tolerance levels to such films. So Rabhasa is expected to work out well at the box office.

In what seems like a first for an NTR Jr film, there isn't a reference to his legendary grandfather, NT Rama Rao, in the entire 162 minute runtime. Not a punch dialogue evoking the late matinee idol, no tokenistic veiled claim to his onscreen legacy or the Nandamuri family...not even an old hit song from a yesteryear classic remixed. The absence of the mandatory NTR reference is perhaps the most original part of this otherwise unremarkable film that dishes out every known cliche in lexicon of big ticket Tollywood entertainers.

Especially, the tiring “Sreenu Vaitla-kinda” formula, which has been beaten to death so far, is back again. T-town filmmakers once again rely on the same fights-dance-comedy recipe. Too many characters, too many people spread all over the film and most of them hardly has a purpose. And in second half, there comes Brahmanandam, forcefully imbibed into the story to create few giggles but in vain. Umpteen fight episodes, where people are thrown away with single punch, blood is all over the place and between, there comes songs. One doesn’t understand the role of Pranitha, how it ends abruptly. The first half is worst. And the second half is no different, equally bad.
