Manchodu Srinu (Nara Rohit), the kidnapper explains that he had got a fake Rs 1,000 note from an ATM but when he goes to the bank, the staff tears it into pieces. He wants a Rs 1,000 note but without a picture of the Mahatma. He feels that it is an insult for the Mahatma as with a note carrying his picture, even liquor is bought. Subsequently, the kidnapper makes more demands. He wants 84 ps! That is the small change that the staff at a petrol bunk do not return when he gives them Rs 71 for a litre of petrol which costs Rs 70.16.

The film opens with interesting title cards quoting best quotes of popular, influential leaders. Right from then, the movie goes on pace till the end. It is a bold, fresh take on prevailing political system. The well-conceived, thought-provoking film is an eye-opener to many wicked politicians and traditional political parties. Despite handful of mistakes, draggy narration at times, debutante director succeeds in keeping the thrill alive till the end. It's the second half, told convincingly, that saves the film.

Prathinidhi is a must watch for every responsible citizen. Every individual should watch this movie not to change but at least to know what reality is.

A good effort that stands out for the way the plot is executed.
Rating: 3.0/5
Prathinidhi is a very promising concept but the movie ends up as just an OK film as it has been let down by a poor heroine, average execution and unnecessary scenes. The present political mood in state should ensure revenues.
Rating: 3.0/5
Prathinidhi is a unique concept comparing to the routine scripts and the audience who likes the politics and aware of those will surely enjoy the movie, with power packed dialogues. Can have a look at this political drama for this weekend.

Prathinidhi is a kind of film with a very promising subject but the new director fails to execute it well. As a result of the poor execution, the film ends up as an average. Give it a try!
Rating: 3.0/5
Even though the story and concept is good, the execution is not up to the mark. But, the film has handful of gripping sequences to enthrall viewers. The dialogues written by Anand Ravi on current politics and the society are worth of loud whistles of claps and are the big asset of the film for sure.As this Prathinidhi arrived in theaters amid current political environment, he will bag the attention for sure ‘Prathinidhi’ is definitely a decent one-time watch

Prathinidhi- An appreciable attempt & a decent watch!!!

Off the screen, technicalities related to paper work are done precisely at high standards by Anand Ravi. It’s the technicalities on the screen which failed to lighten the concept. Prashanth Mandava’s direction in association with Chitti Babu’s poor cinematography and Nandamuri Hari’s weak editing killed the essence to an extent while Sai Karthik’s music tried to blow the life. At the same time are Sudha Cinemas and J Sambasiva Rao’s production values are pathetically low. Given this kind of a promising concept with lavish budget and a much more experienced director, ‘Pratinidhi’ could have been a sure shot commercial hit. It’s the fault with execution of an apprentice team failed to glorify the magnificence
Rating: 2.75/5
Prashanth Mandava came with a perfect and different plot in his debut. He is quite successful in executing on screen. He started off with the kidnap and then revealed the characters. First half sails smoothly but slows down after the kidnap. Second half picks pace and then shows towards the climax. But overall he emerged successful in sending strong message to the society and that should be lauded. In all his efforts he belittled NSG commandos showing them as jokers.
Rating: 2.75/5
To begin with, the Pratinidhi team needs to be appreciated for making a film that is not only timely but also issue-based. Though it’s not a political film, politics surely form the basis of the film. It’s a film that questions and instigates the people to take action or at least consider action. With the elections coming up in five days in Telangana and in 12 days in Andhra Pradesh, the timing could not have been more perfect.
