The only competition Govind (Manoj) perhaps has is the eel. He falls in love – not once, but several times - and manages to survive like the slithering creature even out of water. Shedding his skin like a snake and shaking off his past, he goes on with life like there was no yesterday. But just `one yesterday’ haunts him and he hits the bottle. His woes are because of the bottle, though. And you laugh your heart out.

The first-half of Potugadu moves is decent, good pace and comedy played major role here. Dialogues combining double meaning will click with youth and front benchers. Sreedhar Seepana came up with some very witty one liners. The direction of Wadeyar is nice; he got half success in his lap by signing Manoj for this well formed script. He utilized the actor’s energy to peaks. The interval and pre-climax scenes were written brilliantly. The crispy run time is an asset. Music by Achu is soothing and is the major strengths of the movie, especially ‘Devatha’ and ‘Pyar Mein Padipoya’ stand out among all. Camerawork is fascinating, all the songs and fights have been shot very well.

Manchu Manoj always tries to do something new. In spite of biting the dust few times, he didn’t stop experimenting with fresh concepts. Potugadu is one of those experimental attempts by Manoj which makes you stick to your seat and laugh out loud. It is a movie with good story, tight screenplay, great music and decent performances.
Rating: 3.0/5
Despite all his hard work, success had been evading Manchu Manoj for a long time but this time he is back with Potugadu. As promised, the movie provides out and out comedy but the pace drops in the second half. However it is not threatening to the movie. We will have to wait and see the commercial value given the typical conditions prevailing in the state.
Rating: 3.0/5
Potugadu is a stress buster. Worth and fun watching it. Manoj's performance needs no words. He is awesome as usual. Especially the way he turns out an emotional scene into a comedy one and vice versa. Posani too did his part well and all the four heroines did justice to their respective roles.
Rating: 3.0/5
Potugadu is a comedy story with all emotions included in it. Double meaning dialogues have a great space in the movie. It is a funny love tale with a new dimension. Music and camera work are pretty awesome. Hilarious comedy at intervals made audience to laugh.
Rating: 3.0/5
Potugadu is typical Manchu Manoj movie. He always tries to do something new. Potugadu movie will make you enjoyable. Manoj proved he’s the one the “potugadu” in Tollywood with this movie. Go and watch it
Rating: 3.0/5
Potugadu has a very entertaining and racy first half. But it is let down by a loud and cliched second half. You can safely watch the film once, for the crackling performances from Manoj and Posani as well as for some great songs.
Rating: 3.0/5
Manchu Manoj shows his extreme energetic levels in his acting skills. He has imitated Mohan Babu at times but he could have toned down his mannerisms to fit into the role better. The film has four leading ladies. Simran Kaur is glamorous while Rachel fails to impress. Both Simran and Rachel got cameo roles. Anu Priya is impressive and emotes well while Sakshi Chowdary haven’t got good characterization.
Rating: 3.0/5
For Telugu movie loving audience who got their taste buds dead with on-going agitations in state killing the future of many big flicks, finally ‘Potugadu’ will be a respite. Although there are loopholes in major making deparements, if our demand of providing entertainment mixed with humor is served…we never care for rest. ‘Potugadu’ is undoubtedly the positive film for Manoj’s career. This movie has not only shown the decisive features in Manoj but also showed the way for other directors on how to vent the sustained intensity in him. May it be action scenes or emotional balancing or agility in dances or the variations in dialogue delivery.
Rating: 3.0/5
Pavan Wadeyar comes along with good story, in this film every one did well, in this film you can feel full Entertainment and comedy through out film. you can watch Potugadu
Rating: 3.0/5
Posani Krishna Murali is a big asset for this movie. His expressions and reactions are hilarious. The comedy scenes between Manoj and Posani have come out well. Ali and Raghu Babu are ok. Sakshi Choudhary is very good looking and she has given a decent performance. Anupriya is ok.
Rating: 3.0/5
Pace of the film is quite good and never in the film there is one boring scene. When viewer feels bored the very next moment a comedy scene appears. Manoj after a long time selected a script that is suitable for him and he came out trumps. By having songs and dialogues targeting masses filmmakers made their intent clear. However only thing that goes negative is undue criticism of not one but all religions Hindus, Muslims and Christians. Everything depends on how they react. Some scenes in second half would have been handled in a more better way.
Rating: 3.0/5
First half of the film is fun. Second half’s pace goes a little slow, but picks up during climax where all loose ends are tied together. Plus points of the film are Manoj Manchu’s performance, dialogues and entertainment. On the other hand an universal orientation in the treatment would have been good. On a whole, Potugadu film has entertainment value.
Rating: 3.0/5
Potugadu is an entertainer for sure. Audiences have been waiting eagerly for a light entertainer after a spate of poor films and Manoj has filled that vacuum. The film's first half has plenty of comedy and rib tickling dialogues that will leave you in splits. The scenes where Sunil gave his voice for Ganesha are simply hilarious. Manoj's interaction with Lord Ganesha are pretty well done.
Rating: 3.0/5
The film’s first half is entertaining and comical timing of Manoj and Posani’s scenes have really come out well. Director Pawan Wadeyar who tries to narrate love stories in the proper way is not well in presentation form as their roles come and go in the mean time. Rachel’s love story is not properly executed and the story goes slow in the second half.
Rating: 2.75/5
Pawan Wadeyar who directed the original Govindaya Namaha in Kannada blended the story making necessary changes in the original according to the telugu nativity. He emerged successful in his attempt. Entire film is filled with humour and though Manoj's reason to commit suicide is not convincing, people don't give much importance due to the entertainment quotient in the film. Except for few dragged scenes and some dialogues which offend some religions and its followers, the film goes off in a smooth pace.
Rating: 2.75/5
Potugadu is remake of a hit Kannada movie titled Govindaya Namaha (2012) directed by Pawan Wadeyar. The same Kannada director has remade it in Telugu. There is no novelty in the storyline, but he has tried to present the movie with crass comedy. In the first half of the movie, hero Manoj mouths too many double meaning dialogues. There are some good laughs here and there but mostly obtuse humor. The film's leading hero falls with four ladies but none of the four love stories have emotional depth.
Rating: 2.75/5
Potugadu comes at a time where there is no single film to watch. This must help the movie to score big at the ticket windows in spite of average content. This is surely better than Manoj's previous outings and you may watch it if you like his style of acting.
Rating: 2.75/5
Filmmakers didnot try anything different but depended on logicless love story. A song with each of the four heroines and breakups makes up Potugadu. Though hero is shown as realising the greatness of love and then undergoing change, his acts showing as good deeds is something undigestable. Content in the film is just ok but it is not must watch.
Rating: 2.75/5
Asusual Manoj did is role in the easiest way ,as he did for his previous films,Four heroines Rachel,Simran Kaur Mundi,Sakshi Choudary,Anupriya debuted in the film and their roles are up to the mark as their roles are concern. The comedy by Manoj is always a lovely watch and he did it it again with his humour.Sunil lended his voice for Lord Ganesh is good.Posani Krishna Murali’s character is a different type
Rating: 2.5/5
The first half was quite breezy and went well without any hiccups but the post interval sessions came down. The emotional scenes could have been handled with intensity. Still, the film has enough elements to entice the mass and commercial masala audience. At the box office, the film can land into the profit zone if promoted properly.
Rating: 2.5/5
Potugadu is a Remake of 2012 Kannada comedy Romantical drama Govindaya Namaha , written and directed by debutante Pawan Wadeyar. No specific change has been made to the original script . Movie enough elements to pull the mass and commercial masala audience. Movie can be watched once.
Rating: 2.5/5
Overall,a just OK film.May do well with the B & C centers. As the dosage of double meaning is a bit high, family audience might go away from this one.For youth,an okay film to watch once with no expectations.
Rating: 2.5/5

Coming to the analysis of the movie Potugadu includes a fine story and it has couple of factors that actually work in support of it. But additionally you will find many factors that will prevent it. Allows discuss the positives first. You will find couple of good comedy moments which are targeted in the public. Despite many double meaning dialogues individuals moments works within the favor of Potugadu in the box office.
Rating: 2.25/5
Manoj as usually followed Mohan Babu’s mannerism in dialogues. His timing is perfect. Manoj has single handedly steered Potugadu on his shoulders. Manoj’s characterisation keeps audience glued to seats. He has composed his own fights. Music is in tune with Manoj’s style.
Rating: 2.0/5
Manoj is kind of better than the other star kids in terms of diction and he’s quite the funny man, but, the way he over exploits these skills makes the watcher restless and exhausted. He needs to mellow down quite a few notches, bring in a little silence to his acts and work with a free flowing dialogue. The film wasn’t a total bore, but, it was gaudy enough to kill any of its finer elements.
Rating: 2.0/5
The much awaited movie of the year Potugadu is out, but does not live up to its expectations with director Pawan trying too many love stories in a single plot. The movie has the typical ingredients of commercial film – romance, songs and lovely locations. Unfortunately, the film offers nothing new. Like regular water tastes mineral water in a desert similarly in a season of flops it might appeal to few audiences.

Achu’s music sounds different and the song Pyar Mein Padipoya was choreographed well against a historical monument in black and white and colour. The film may appeal to those who enjoy double entendres and crude entertainment. Others can happily give it a miss.
Rating: --
Potugadu is a roller-coaster ride right from the beginning till end and it tickles the funny bones of the film goers. The director has included commercial ingredients and has a good grip over the happenings on screen. The first half of the movie is quite racy, funny and entertaining with lot of comedy and romance.
Rating: --
Locations are nice. Poor editing makes boring in the run. Achu compositions and back ground music lifted the movie to a level. Manchu Manoj has not performed well and showed his over enthusiasm. Also all the four heroines are not attractive or impressive. They too havent performed well. Cinematography is ok. Fights are good. Stunts and thrills are good. There is nothing to watch in the movie and more over this film is a test for our patience.
