Every person has did their role very well. The makers followed only comedy formula. Comedians like Ali, Kovai Sarala, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Bharath did their job very well. The family audience will enjoy the film thoroughly. The mass audience might disappoint a little but they enjoy the comedy part to the best. The natural comedy appeared in the movie which missed in the other films in recent times.

Primarily its the Blockbuster combination of Victory Vnekatesh and Vijaybhaskar K,Whose combo delivered Classic like Nuvvu Naku Nachaav and Blockbuster Malleswari, The Duo rocked once again in their Arena that is entertainment, one has to accept the fact that none has extracted the comic timing in Venky Better than Vijay bhaskar, The Introduction of Venky was one of it’s best for venky

It's a comedy with gags aplenty. The humor in the movie works a lot like cheap alcohol that doesn't leave a great after taste but will surely do the needful. Lets just say the wit is more likely to get you go bhwahwahwah than wow! Truth opens when doors close...,shut up in the mouth and get out of the house..., don't get emotional just pest control yourself..., the doubt of the mind is the devil of the world....

Balaram (Venkatesh) is a good hearted strongman of the village of Bheemarajapuram. He is fair towards every one and takes care of their needs. But one thing that Balaram cannot tolerate is when a person start lying .if he finds someone lying, Balaram gets in some severe punishment to the layer.

The first half of the movie is decent and second half is better. The movie may not excite you much if you have watched Bol Bachchan. For the rest of the people, Venkatesh and Ram’s screen presence, the comedy sequences and funny one liners makes it a one time watch. Since the comedy films are reigning the box office, it is expected to do well at the box office. Watch it to kill your free time!

Overall,an okay film.Nice enjoyable movie. As comedy plays a major role especially for Telugu audience, this film will get pass marks. It will run with good openings and may continue to certain extent until another big movie comes for competition. An okay film to enjoy over the week-end.We should not look for logics while watching this film.

Time pass family entertainer, can be enjoyed if not watched the original
Rating: 3.0/5
Masala is for comedy movie lovers that don't care about the logics and other nuances of cinema. Content wise it is an average film and can be watched once for Venkatesh and Ram.

Audience…Watch This for Venky’s IMAX Performance

Masala is a “Stomach full of laugh” movie. Masala delivers good entertainment to audience
Rating: 3.0/5
Masala is a xerox copy of Bol Bachchan. Audience who didn’t watch the Hindi version would like it. In spite of good performances from entire cast and few outstanding hilarious scenes. But still, it stands as a Paisa Vasool entertainer, thanks to Venkatesh and Ram’s amazing screen presence.
Rating: 3.0/5
Venky, in the company of Jaya Prakash Reddy and Ram, will provide decent comic relief. ‘Masala’ is a time pass entertainer for sure, but don’t expect belly-burst like laughs.

Venkatesh has done many comedy characters earlier, but most of them have class and middle-class family orientation. For the first time, he has done a mass comedy character (like Chiranjeevi in Shankar Dada MBBS) and comes up with an outstanding performance. The film works because of five actors (Venky, Ram, JP, Ali and MS Narayana)
Rating: 3.0/5
It’s just venky whom you can find in every single frame of film and his performance is super, he showed a different role of entertainment after a long gap. The way he says the Telugu lines in English, or the scene where he says 'My English better than British' are just keka.
Rating: 3.0/5
On the whole, watch Masala for all the whole-hearted comedy. Bol Bachchan might have bored a section of the audience but Masala works for Telugu audience. We are used to seeing comedy in bits and pieces in every film but this film, filled with laughs is not a bad choice this weekend. I am going with 3/5 for Masala. Laughter is good for health.
Rating: 3.0/5
The film is just copy paste from Hindi film Bol Bachchan which itself is a remake of Hindi classic GOl Maal. Director Vijaya Bhaskar failed to come up with any creativity. He failed miserably in story, screenplay and direction. Except for Venkatesh none took their jobs seriously. With nothing in the story Masala’s first half drags while the second half tests the patience of movie lovers.
Rating: 3.0/5
Comedy is fantastic. Venkatesh's broken English, JP and Ali dialogues, Ram's reactions are very good. The Telugu danam quotient is missing. Anjali's role was very short in length.
Rating: 3.0/5
Finally, MASALA is a Xerox copy of Bolbacchan entertains you at parts .. If you hasnt watched Bolbachan its a worth watch else just watch it for Venkatesh .. Time pass movie .. Families may prefer this kinda movies in this no cinemas season .. Decent Entertainer
Business Of Tollywood

Masala is the remake of Bollywood hit Bol Bachchan. Venkatesh and Ram played the roles played by Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgan. This is a routine story presented in different way. The movies opens with Rehman (Ram) and his sister Sania (Anjali) losing property in Hyderabad in a civil court.
Rating: 3.0/5
Masala is a complete commercial formulaic film that sticks to the genre. It is more of a comedy entertainer with a touch of action. If you haven't watched the original few scenes will surely crack you up. Venkatesh and Ram combination should work in favor of film. They can pull the masses and classes to the theaters.

Masala’ turned bitter after Remaking a remake (Masala remake of ‘Bol Bachchan’ which is a remake of 70’s film Gol Maal)
Rating: 2.75/5
‘Masala’ has a few good moments. Venkatesh and Ram have tried their best to carry the film with their comedy timing. But a stale plot and outdated screenplay hamper their efforts. Any Masala gets a perfect flavour and taste only when the ingredients are blended in the right proportions. Sadly, that is not the case with this ‘Masala’.
Rating: 2.75/5
If you like Rohit Shetty kind of movies that hinge on comedy not caring about anything, you may like this too. If you don't like them at all, then Masala is not 'your cup of brandy'. Definitely, Masala offers some genuine laughs but they are very few and far. This masala lacks right ingredients.
Rating: 2.75/5
The first half moves at good pace and is enjoyable for its comedy here and there but it’s the second half which has much engrossing elements. The dialogues are quite entertaining and Venkatesh, Ram, Jaya Prakash Reddy rocked the screens with their good comic timing. The action sequences however are poorly choreographed. Masala had several clichés with confusion dramas that were seen in recent comedy releases, yet the screenplay packed with entertainment and silly gags works for the movie.
Rating: 2.75/5
The whole film is themed around mass confusion and the comedy that entails it. It is not the first time that such a film has been made. Many such movies have been made in the past where the hero’s identity is kept a secret from the boss and how it leads to comic incidents. But two big heroes have never come together for such a film. And that is what works in the favour of Masala. The combination of Venkatesh and Ram will surely make it special and draw audiences.
Rating: 2.75/5
Director Vijaya Bhaskar seems to have depended only on Venkatesh's broken english and Ram's gay dances. Though those two entertained viewers to some extent even they irritated viewers once they became monotonous. The story has nothing new and viewers watched them umpteen times. Everything is predictable and the film which is a carbon copy of Bol Bachchan
Rating: 2.5/5
First half has some lapses. Comedy without any logical link. Story remains at the same place where it started even after an hour. Every character of the movie is designed for comedy. People also will laugh. But the actual thread which is supposed to bind the comedy line is missing. We many times get a feeling of watching continuous comedy bits in a TV serial. This movie is created believing the strength of entertainment with support of Ram and Venky.
Rating: 2.5/5
Admit the fact that it is just a no-brainer with its moments of humor. Watch it with low expectations. The discerning ones may ask TFI to dismiss all (faithful and faithless) remakes; except if he has something substantial to add, a director should not touch a subject.
Rating: 2.5/5
Masala frame by frame from the original and is largely successful. The pace is uneven throughout with a dull moment followed by a hilarious scene. This unevenness is seen because the emotional scenes involving Ram fail to create any impact and appear to drag. Couple of songs, are unnecessary.
Rating: 2.5/5
Masala is a exact facsimile of Bol Bachchan. Audience who didn't watch the Hindi version would relish it. In spite of good performances from entire cast and few outstanding comical scenes, the failure of technicians has made Masala a very mundane entertainer. But still, it stands as a good entertainer, thanks to Venkatesh and Ram's astonishing screen presence.
Rating: 2.5/5
If someone is remaking an already hit movie, then there is chance to eliminate all the low moments and add more ‘masala’ to it. But here in Venky-Ram’s ‘Masala’ some artificial moments are added the comedy of errors making the movie not just cross that average-line. Okay, we will keep logics aside and watch the flick, but at least those larger-than-life acts should be little convincing.
Rating: 2.25/5
It is unfair if we say ‘Masala’ is remake of ‘Bol Bachchan’. It is more than a remake. Director copied scene to scene and even used some footage from the Hindi film. ‘Masala’ story is very feeble and the screenplay also runs on predictable note offering nothing new. We have seen many movies in the past with protagonist outwitting others with fake identity or cooking up stories to cover him up.
Rating: 1.5/5
Main aim of the movie is to entertain audience with comedy scenes but the very comedy part has failed horribly. Out of all Rasas, Hasya Rasa is the toughest to perform. An additional care is required to take in that sort of movies. But even normal care taking is lacking in the movie. The best advice is you can avoid the movie if you can.
Rating: 1.0/5
Masala fails from the start as the comedy element didn’t work, the cast is imperfect and they don't seem serious about their performances (leaving Venkatesh Daggubati). It is so shabbily made that you will instantly feel that director Vijaya Bhasker has lost interest in the initial parts of the film.

Overall, Masala is a decent comedy entertainer, which is a treat for family audience. But if you have watched Bol Bachchan, you can skip Masala as it does not offer anything new.
