Gaddam Gang is crime, comedy, thriller movie. It's the remake of the film in Tamil named Sudhu Kavvam. We can say this is a different story in Telugu till know which hit the screen.

"Gaddam Gang" is a different kind of film that has not been seen in Telugu cinema in the recent past. The treatment is different with full of laughs and unpredictable situations with great wit, dark humour and satire. Even the most serious dialogues in the gravest situations make the audience laugh uncontrollably.

I am most curious to see how Gaddam Gang will be received — the noir-comedy isn’t a genre we dabble. The movie is poorly remade without any soul and lacks the punch of the original.

Bizarre and Unentertaining!Journeying with ‘Gaddam Gang’ in first one hour, you are fatigued in their company. Second half lives us in a traumatic stress by the time end title cards roll.

Gaddam Gang turns out to be the kind of film where the characters have more fun than the audience it is made for. In the end, it makes you want to watch the original film to see what you have missed for the entire duration of 144 minutes.

Gaddam Gang is not a bad film but it isn't good either. The film has a very good script and decent star cast. However weak execution of the script plays the spoilsport. Rajasekhar who has been struggling to strike big at the box office has finally found something that has potential. Soodu Kavvum is a very good crime comedy that did wonders at the Tamil box office.

Gaddam Gang is the official remake of Soodhu Kavvum and to suit the taste of Telugu audience, certain changes were made. The film starts pretty good in fact and tickles us constantly. The quirky comedy is good, blended with humour. The first half is engaging and narration is also good. However, the tilt in the second half make things worst. The director fails to carry the first half momentum and eventually second half plays a spoil sport role.

Satosh Kumar, protege of Sharavanan of Journey fame, on debut did not try to experiment, sticking to the original Soodu Kavvum. This did not give native feel to the Telugu viewers though the film is a run away hit in Tamil. First half is tolerable while the second half tortures viewers.

Gaddam Gang starts off well in the first half, but loses steam as it enters second half. In the climax, the entry of the policeman should have heightened the suspense. Instead, it stretches the story wishing you were out. The audiences fail to relate to any of the characters. As it is obvious that whatever is happening on screen is drama, the film neither surprises nor entertains.

On an average, this flick might be an average venture again from Rajasekhar. Recently, this actor mentioned that he is waiting eagerly for a top level blockbuster, so that he can move towards other challenging roles. May be, Rajasekhar needs to wait for some more time and come up with another venture, which may turn into a blockbuster in future. As of now, this flick is on the average line and the commercial success too is a doubt.

Nativising the film would have taken a good great effort. Aside from a rare writing brilliance that Kolly writers are good at, their actors (especially sidekicks) have a praiseworthy spontaneity. When we try to adapt their style, one has to keep in mind the idiom of our actors.

Remakes are usually sly to execute as most often they get lost in rendering despite of the accurate execution. Santhosh Jayakumar makes a faithful by script remake of Soodhu Kavvum. Despite staying true to the original movie feels exanimate as it fails to engage viewers on a emotional and entertaining levels. Both the halves are equally boring with few scenes overall managing to arouse some response.
