Stories with emotional content and pure Telugu environment always have bright chances of winning the BO. Despite weak content, a strong treatment with conviction could have saved the day for EGEV. Chandra Siddharth’s handling of second half was feeble and shallow. Scenes run with immense lag and story moves no where. The way first half ends, a promising second half is expected. Unluckily, it falls flat once lead characters reach USA (of course, shot in Thailand). Literally, they tried to fill the gaps with boring and lengthy cum unnecessary content before taking it to climax which was further more unconvincing.
Rating: 2.25/5
‘Emo Gurram Egaravachu’ ends up as a very predictable and outdated film. Very slow pace, lack of entertainment and some bad performances will work against the movie at the Box Office. If you are a Chandra Siddhartha fan, you will be sorely disappointed.

These days’ audiences seek good entertainment and energy levels in a film and also overlook story if they can find the above. In order to achieve this, the director should also focus on ample energy quotient, The idea behind the story is good but this failed in terms of proper execution and as a result the eventual objective of what director wanted to convey has been lost. For storylines that are simple, there has to be a strong emotional quotient which seems to be missing completely. The film can be rated as a clean family entertainer but there are many gaps which has failed this objective. The movie definitely tests the patience of a modern movie goer.

In fact, the inspiration for this can be found from the Bollywood flick ‘Namastey London’ starring Akshay and Katrina. Point is, for such simple storylines, the emotional quotient has to be strong and those scenes must be conceived with good depth and feel that was missing completely. Overall, this is a film which had strong potential to become a class family entertainer but the gaps are too wide. Still, audience with good patience levels can watch it if they have nothing better to do.

First half of the film sails off smoothly even there is nothing special to write about it. Bullebbayi character is introduced well. The examination scene is a promising opening scene for this film. However there ends the creative and entertainment part. What follows later is a mediocre affair with lazy humor.

Chandra Siddarth is known or his quality films with social theme Aa Naluguru, Andhari Bandhuvaiya but if you expect EGE, a similar treatment you would be disappointed. Emo Gurram Egoravachu is a routine story that reminds you of Namaste London, Bhadradi Ramudu in a certain way. Despite routine story, an impressive and gripping narration could have worked for such emotional scripts but sadly, it doesn’t work for EGE due to predictability and slow paced narration. The second half is quite boring with too much dragging and lagging. Climax is unconvincing and weak. Despite Sumanth putting his efforts, the film falls flat. Weak direction and Unexciting screenplay are the negative points of the movie.
Rating: 1.75/5
Chandra Siddharth known for his realistic treatment, selected routine storyline where love blossoms between relatives and they separate due to ego clashes. Slow pace of the film tested the patience of viewers.First half was sent in the picturesque backdrop of East Godavari district and later it shifts to US locales. The film is just routine minus thrill factor.
Rating: 1.5/5
‘Emo Gurram Egaravachu’ is a film with outdated story, weak screenplay and poor performances. The horse fails to fly but manages to crawl. Keeravani’s music is the only positive aspect of EGE.
Rating: 1.5/5
Complete story will be as expected and it’s a routine story with small script. No interesting twists in the movie. Comedy is not up to the standards. M.M.Keeravani has tried his best to give the music but his efforts are partially successful. Interval Twists is also routine, there is no much to be expected from the movie.
Rating: 1.5/5
Even though Keeravani struggled hard to bring emotions that are not present with his R.R., but he failed. For such a weak story, even Rahman and Ilayaraja can’t do anything. But photography is good. They presented very neatly. But shooting in Bangkok and illustrating as America seems to be funny. The conversation written by Kaanchi was not able to bring out comedy in any way. In addition, he had already a character. It became more and more filthy. We cannot watch his over-action
Rating: 1.0/5
Chandra Siddarth is known for his social themes through the films Aa Naluguru, Andhari Bandhuvaiya and Madhumasam. The first fifteen minutes of the film is fine. The film is bad in the first half. Second half is equally bad. The film has inspirations from Singh is King, Bhadradi Ramudu and Namo Venkatesha in the scenes. Movie is too dramatic for modern day audience. The film goes very slow throughout. Although the starting scenes appear to have been interesting, eventually the film turns slow and bore.
