Overall, Dikkulu Chuddaku Ramayya works to a certain extent, but terribly let-down by the poorly written script and executed second half.

On the whole, Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya is a refreshing change from the routine commercial flicks which are coming out off late. Ajay and Naga Shourya’s performance, music and comedy episodes are basic plus. Even though this film lacks proper narration in parts, it will still make up for a decent watch for its unique content.

It is one thing to come up with a concept that is unusual and strike a balance between its entertainment value and emotional quotient. In this film, it was done decently. The first half goes like a smooth breeze and it is filled with elements of comedy, some romance and drama. The interval bang was okay and the second half is more towards the emtoinal melodrama and sentiment. Still, the landing was done properly and justifies the plot. At the box office, the film has enough potential to appeal different genres of audience so this could be a profit grosser.

Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya is not avant-garde. For all the efforts to package old wine in fresh bottle, it fails to pack the punch. True, emotions are mostly under-played, melodrama doesn't go over-the-board, scenes come with brevity, but somehow it ends up looking less than normally intense and curt. After a point, the novelty fades off as the audience realizes that if Sana were not X's muse as well, Y's weird romance with her would have seemed oldish.

Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya is a mix of comedy and emotion. A good one time watcher with family

However not everyone would accept this concept. If you are okay with the concept and accept the film's conflict point, Dikkulu Chudaku Ramayya will surely leave a good impression. First half of the film is very entertaining with a superb interval block. Things slow down and take melodramatic turn in the second half. Nevertheless Dikkulu Chudaku Ramayya works because of its charming content and impressive climax sequence

In one line, the film is about a married man on the wrong side of 30s trying to find love. Now, the plot is ideal to put in vulgar sequences and double entendre dialogues. But all credit goes to Sai Korrapati and his director Trikoti for sticking to their basic plot and not titillating the subject

First half of the film is nice with entertainment and characters play. Second half should have been handled in a more interesting way. Plus points of the film are first half, Ajay and entertainment. A better screenplay in second half is needed. Producer Sai Korrapati should be appreciated for spending money on novel script and also for the commercial sense of having entertainment and family orientation. We need to wait and see how youth and families embrace the movie.

Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya is more or less a normal movie with no twists and turns. The otherwise could have made the film a true commercial entertainer. Though Thrikoti handled the sensitive script nicely, DCR is just descent and not interesting.

ikkulu Choodaku Ramayya has refreshing concept and few nice moments as well. Slow narration and miss of entertainment in the 2nd half is the major drawback. Anyway, the film is decent one-time watch this weekend.

The movie “Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya” is a very different and unique concept. To be precise, it is a brave one. Father and Son falling in love with the same girl is a very bold and innovative idea. The makers have done fairly decent job in making this an enjoyable film. Overall, Dikkulu Chuddaku Ramayya works to a certain extent. The movie will surely make a hit for carrying a unique story line, which is most likely to impress the present youth.

Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya has limited appeal. This is something new in Tollywood and when the plot is revealed many wondered whether it will appeal to movie lovers. However Trikoti emerged successful in showing them in a decent manner. He extracted good performances from all stars and narrated the story with conviction.

First part is Comedy entertainer and whereas the latter half gets into serious emotions and sentiments. Had director avoided a bit of drama and lag in the second half, the movie would have been good film. Yet, Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya makes for good watch.

It's quite rare to come across a film which is based on an unique premise in Tollywood, given the fact that almost every other film, of late, is loaded with a string of cliches. In a way, Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya, which narrates the story of a father and his son falling in love with the same girl, feels like a breath of fresh air. The film has plenty to talk about, especially in terms of how it explores the psyche of a 40 something married man, the coming-of-age of a young man and the unrequited love of a housewife who would do anything to uphold the honour of her husband. Yet, Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya ends up being an underwhelming experience after a promising start.

Finally, this venture has the flavor to attract the youth as the concept is looking new and catchy. In a scenario where no big flicks are in the radar, this flick has good scope to mint good collections for the film makers and the distributors. It is a time pass youthful entertainer with family sentiment. Youngsters as well as family audience can watch this flick.

This movie is a romantic comedy entertainer and a feel good movie. Debut director Trikoti has treated the subject in a good way. First half of the movie is good with funny scenes but in second song the movie goes off the track and becomes slow in some shots. Overall this is a refreshing movie.

Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya’ could have been a special film for all genres to connect, if format of narration was changed to suit the current tastes of public. They have rolled out a very serious film with an unconvincing message in climax folded on a flat note. Snail pace narration and run of the mill regulations made ‘DCR’ unsafe. Good to see now and then, new storylines penned in Tollywood backyard but absence of mild treatment can result in miscarriage. Trikoti sir struck to his early ancient days of narration style without taking the advancements in scripting and direction. Commercially, DCR’s fate needs to be calculated in next two to three days. If youth and families are its target audience, let us see how they react?

So, in all Dikkulu Chuddaku Ramayya can just be appreciated for decent kind of effort made by its first time director Trikoti. But talking about everything else, it goes well over the top, exploiting the same old theme of Family, Middle Life Crises and Realization for the nth time along with some erratic writing. Dikkulu Chuddaku Ramayya has heart, a time-tested premise and some good performances.
