'Nenu edi fix avvanu. Okka sari fix aite relax avvanu,' says Balakrishna in the film. Well, he doesn't relax really and give one of his best performances. This one may not go down as a milestone in his career but for his fans, this will certainly be the 'full plate meals' they desire.
Rating: 3.5/5
One can easily say that Dictator becomes a commercial hit for this Sankranthi season, as Balakrishna’s previous films Samarasimha Reddy and Narasimha Naidu. Mainly, the film attains huge success at B and C centres. It becomes a double treat for this Sankranthi for all Nandamuri fans with the film “Dictator”.
Rating: 3.25/5
On the whole, Dictator is a film which has all the necessary ingredients of a typical commercial entertainer. Balakrishna’s thumping performance, mass dialogues, fights and enough glamour elements will keep the fans and B and C center audience happy. If you ignore the routine and predictable story line, this film will be a decent festival outing this weekend. Go watch it.

Dictator will rule. Everything is predictable but the mass elements make it a watchable fare. Balakrishna fans and masses may enjoy few dialogues and other stuff from their favorite hero. Others may find it a bit dated. On a whole Dictator is a decent mass entertainer for the genre lovers.
Rating: 3.0/5
Dictator is an out and out commercial entertainer, which Balakrishna fans are expecting since long. As all the commercial elements are mixed in good proportions, it would engage the audience throughout.
Rating: 3.0/5
A movie for those who want to see Balakrishna delivering punch lines and smashing an empire.
Rating: 3.0/5
If you are looking for a no-brainer masala entertainer, that will topple all the films of Salman khan and Bollywood is churning out these days, then it's a must watch for you. With festive season in full swing and bidding against three big stars, Sharwanand might have chosen the wrong story with this venture, or a film with completely no story in the first place.
Rating: 3.0/5
Dictator is regular mass movie aimed at Nandamuri Balakrishna's fans. Strictly for mass audiences
Rating: 2.75/5
Nandamuri Balakrishna is the heart and soul of the film. He delivered easily in both his characters and carries the entire film on his shoulders smoothly. He looked stylish in two different getups. Balayya really owned first half which came out extremely well. Into second half, his role as Businessman was incomprehensible and whole setup created in New Delhi was hard to believe and connect.
Rating: 2.75/5
On to final judgment, ‘Dictator’ can be a feast for mass Nandamuri Balakrishna Fans in B, C centers while for class public, this cannot be a striking fare. Commercially, ‘Dictator’ might most probably stand as highest grosser among so far Pongal releases in domestic circuit which makes it eligible to go for 2.75 stars rating. Thanks to Balayya Fan frenzy.

From hero saving a girl, and goons giving him a visiting card of theirs, later hero going to den and offering money for her release, to hero beating them and killing all. From hero travelling in metro train on his way to his office, a 'departmental store', to saving an employee in the store. Almost all the story and crucial scenes of "Dictator" are a straight lift from 2014 Hollywood film "The Equaliser" that has Denzel Washington in the lead. But director Sriwaas failed to recreate that film's magic, while the punch dialogues written by Kona Venkat blow rust in our ears.
Rating: 2.75/5
The missing mystery in the film that never gets settled is what happened to Rajiv Kanakala who shows up in the first scene and then haunts you throughout the first half. Check it out if you are a Balayya fan or await something better for Sankranti.
Rating: 2.75/5
The same old 'Basha' template has been used again for 'Dictator'. It must be said that Makers have prepared the audience what they gonna expect from the movie with theatrical trailer itself. 'Dictator' has got the heroism elevating scenes Balayya Fans would thoroughly enjoy, especially the action sequence & punch dialogues in the Bar. Comedy Track in super market didn't click much but Sonal Chauhan steals the show in these episodes with ample glamour show. Confrontation scenes of Balakrishna and Rati Agnihotri worked out well.
Rating: 2.5/5
Old Wine In Old Bottle!Director Sri Wass and writers have failed Balakrishna. All in all, “Dictator” is a mess. Except for Balakrishna and Anjali’s presence, the movie doesn’t have anything to talk about.
Rating: 2.5/5
On the whole, we can say that while Nannaku Prematho meant to entertain multiplex audiences, another movie from the Nandamuri family, Dictator is exclusively for B and C center crowds.
Rating: 2.5/5
Dictator though not as powerful as Simha and Legend, may still attract Balakrishna fans but they miss the power and intensity of earlier films.
Rating: 2.5/5
Finally dictator is an one man show of Balakrishna few scenes are entertaining Balakrishna fans will enjoy this film
Rating: 2.5/5
First half starts with a violent act of goons. It is filled with routine same comedy and nothing of the story is revealed in this half. In ends with a Balayya calibre fight and creates the necessary curiosity among the audience. Second half begins with revealing the back story of Chandrasekhar Dharma. Pure mass film begins in this half and is a treat for Balayya and mass audience. To sum up, its a delight and feast for Balayya and Nandamuri fans.
Rating: 2.25/5
Had Srivaas used good screenplay it could have been better. However he did not do it. Except for some Balakrishna dialogues, few comedy scenes, actions scenes film has nothing to talk. Balakrishna fans may enjoy this average flick once. The prestigious film from Balakrishna disappointed people.
Rating: 1.5/5
Dictator is that kind of film which fans do not expect for the prestigious 99th film of their favourite star. If you are an ardent fan of the actor and do not want to miss the film at any cost, go for the very fewer moments you have it.
Rating: 1.5/5
As you walk out of the theatre having watched “Dictator”, you feel sorry for the film and film maker, since this was one that probably had tremendous potential, but which failed to evolve into an exciting film on screen. Everything feels damn boring, predictable, dragged barring the acting and for once, even with zero expectations a film seemed lameo.

Typical Mass Entertainer with Balaya giving his best to a mediocre story.Mass audience will like this movie as it has all the mass dialogues, fights and enough glamour elements to keep them interested.Might not be a hit but will fare well at the box office considering
the festival season .A one time watch for B and C center audience.
