'Chandi' is a text book example of how not to make a film. When a national award winning actress like Priyamani finds herself in such a mindless mess, one can’t help but feel sad. There is absolutely no logic or conviction in the narration.Samudra’s direction is very bad
Rating: 2.0/5
Chandi is a revenge drama, which has all commercial elements to impress the mass audience. Priyamani's electrifying performance is the main highlight in the movie. 'Chandi' The tagline of the film is 'The Power of Woman'. But it should have been 'The Power of Torture'.
Rating: 2.0/5
Overall, Chandi is a good entertainer, but the slow-paced narration and poor placement of songs mar the beauty of the movie. If you are a hardcore fan of Priyamani, then don't miss it.

Outdated director Samudra directed ‘Chandi’ is waiting in theaters to waste your precious time/money and torture is bonus. Is anyone ready for that??
Rating: 1.75/5
Overall, an below average movie. Watch the movie without expectations. The fans of Krishnam Raju will enjoy his character.

For regular movie buffs and even for admirers of Priyamani, this movie will be disgusting. With just taking the name of Alluri Seetharama Raju or touching the episodes like Nirbhaya, atrocities on women, how a senior like Samudra thought of prolonging the movie for 139 minutes is still to be understood. In one sentence, this is just a pure scrap. Never go near ‘Chandi,’ she will chop your heads ruthlessly.
Rating: 1.5/5
Director Samudra hyped the film but failed to stick even to the basics Many are left to wonder how Samudra came with such mediocre plot, script and storyline. He failed totally as a director with pathetic screenplay. He insulted the likes of Rebel Star Krishnam Raju and Sarath Kumar. He failed to elevate the characters of Chandi and others.

Priyamani is one of the finest actors going around at the moment no doubt but for all her talent, she can't pull off a half baked character in what seems like a no brainer of a plot. The star cast consists of actors past their prime like Sarath Kumar, Krishnam Raju and Ashish Vidyarthi who all look like pale shadows of themselves. But would such seasoned actors do such silly films will be the more pertinent question.

In the end, Chandi is a fairly routine film; the only difference is that you have an actress playing the role of a hero. It is a welcome change but the movie never rises above mediocrity and that surely puts you off. It isn’t a must a watch flick. However, if you want to see Priyamani in a new role, you could catch Chandi in a theatre near you, just don’t expect your money’s worth. I am going with 1.5/5 for Chandi.

A normal story taken to make a sub-standard movie. How does the producers accept such stories ?. Added to this over-action by all artists. Doubts are arising about Samudra’s over active directive skills. The dialogues could have better suited for Mahesh Babu or Jr.NTR elevating heroism. While Priyamani was sounding them, audience were looking at the exit gates.

While watching Chandi, there is no such bare minimum comfort. All the crooks are handled in a similar fashion by Chandi, who actually behaves like a Goddess Herself, when she is tired of taking pride in her ancestry. If you don’t know, she is the great granddaughter of the great “rebel Alluri Seetharama Raju” (as described by Chandra Sekhar Azad played by Sharath Kumar). Don’t miss the prefix to Alluri;

‘Chandi’ is an avoidable flick. The tagline of the film is ‘The Power of Woman’. But it should have been ‘The Power of Torture’. Poor direction, weak screenplay, bad dialogues and atrocious placement of songs just make this film unbearable.
Rating: 1.5/5
The film has so many loopholes and minuses that people will find at loss of words to describe Samudra's brainchild. One gets a feeling that Samudra is out to take revenge on viewers for not making his films a hit. He loaded the film with all stuff that make viewers run scared out of the theaters or commit suicide. He failed with his story, direction, screenplay, dialogues and its a complete cinematic torture to the third degree. Lack of entertainment, commercial elements and dragging narration add to the woes of viewers. Film tests the patience of people making them patients.

everything everything is bad in the movie donno how thses kinda directors get chances even after string of disasters and Krishnam raju should look at script before accepting any kind of role who once entertained people as rebel star and spl mention to the dialouge writer who ever it is all audience must donate and shuold held a function for retirement as soon as is wait wait its too horrible experience for the audience

Chandi is presented differently with all the necessary commercial elements like action and songs thrown in with no measure. But the film's ambience is in slums. The film's quality is so bad that audience will keep wondering whether it is directed by Samudra whose name is normally associated with clean films in the past.

Chandi ends up as an unbearable torture. Except for performances of Krishnam Raju and Sarath Kumar, Chandi offers nothing. Its illogical story and dragging screenplay irritates you to the core. If you still want to watch Chandi, carry a balm with you.

'Chandi' is an avoidable flick. Poor direction, impotent screenplay, deplorable dialogues and atrocious placement of musical compositions just make this film unbearable.
