Krishnudu has got a good role in this movie and generated humor in this movie. The remaining characters in this movie were little but will feel the audience at their scenes. The beggar role in this movie is having a very less run time, but the dialogues impacts the audience
Rating: 3.0/5
Chandamama Kathalu will keep us entertained until the end, although there are some flaws that keeps popping in like a bubble here and there. Chandamama Kathalu is a feel good concept just meant for absolute relaxation !!!
Rating: 3.0/5
Chandamama Kathalu has decent production elements and Mickey J Meyer's music is the main highlight in them. In fact, his background score helps the director to elevate several sentimental scenes in the second half. Suresh Ragutu's cinematography is another big strength of the film.
Rating: 3.0/5
Director Praveen Sattaru who has done a couple of love stories in the past has taken a brave decision to make a multiple story format film. Though few stories are well conceived, the main conflict point of the film is related to three stories, there by making five stories irrelevant. Plus points of the film are story idea, music and performances. A fast-paced narration and less number of subplots with conflict-relevance would have done magic to the film. On a whole, Chandramama Kathalu is a different attempt, but not good enough to toe the line.
Rating: 2.75/5
For commercial, formula loving audience who just enjoy songs, action and unnecessary drama, this is not your cup of tea. For the rest of audience who welcome class touch, this is worth a watch once. As there is nothing so bright for lower class center audience, Chandamama Kathalu cannot be put under commercial genre.
Rating: 2.75/5
Chandamama Kathalu has too many stories and too little screen time for each actor. As a result, what you get is a hodge-podge mix of some short stories, rather than a cohesive and complete film. The slow pace and poor entertainment levels just spoil the experience further. Apart from some good performances, the only saving grace for the film is its novel concept.
Rating: 2.75/5
Chandamama Kathalu is an anthology film with eight stories. Has its own moments, some interesting episodes too. But it is burdened with too many stories and some dull sequences.
Rating: 2.5/5
Kishore, Krishneswar Rao who played beggar, and Manchu as Lisa Smith have done their jobs exceptionally well compared to the rest of the lot. Kathalu can be viewed once..not a bad effort
Rating: 2.5/5
The idea of using the 'money' from the writer's story in the end was not at all convincing. Chandamama Kathalu could have been way better if the director opted for some logical and touching ending. You may watch it if you are bored with the mass masalas and routine commercial potboilers. But be cautioned and don't expect too much out of it.
Rating: 2.5/5
Chandamama Kathalu takes off on a high note with seven different stories and the concept of intertwining characterizations at once point. But the movie soon looses its grip for its poor screenplay and uninteresting proceedings. Despite many good characterizations, the emotional factor fails to connect due to the execution. The stories are either half-baked or with too many loose ends and few end abruptly
Rating: 2.5/5
Praveen Sattaru came with different type of anthology film. It is a challenge for anyone to depict 15 characters and 8 stories in short span but director did it in a perfect manner without getting confused. However the entire first half completed only for narrating and introducing the characters and second half belongs to narrating the story. Praveen in going overboard with his creativity left too many loose ends. He didnot pay attention to script and climax lacked logic. None of the stories make viewers interested except for the beggar. The film lacks interesting twists and turns. The film lacks commerical elements and it may be its biggest minus.
Rating: 2.5/5
Chandamam Kathalu is like watching the moon sleeping on the terrace but after some time you might feel bored.
Rating: 2.5/5
Chandamama Kathalu does not offer you a slice of life. And since that was the director’s primary objective, he fails badly in his efforts. Also, the climax is unconvincing and is not in sync with the rest of the story
Rating: 2.5/5
Chandamama Kathalu type of anthology films need gripping and interesting screenplay to keep the audience engaged, otherwise they turn boring. The same happened here.Except fresh concept and few good performances, Chandamama Kathalu has absolutely nothing new to offer
The Times Of India
Rating: 2.5/5
The performances all look too forced save Naga Shaurya, Abhijeet and Richa Panai. Naresh looks a total misfit as a cigar smoking NRI who speaks with a funny twang. The music is decent as is the writing what it lacks is the skill in story telling.
Rating: 2.25/5
Although the film is boring, one can enjoy the non-obvious stuff. The pace is quite slow especially in the first half; the second half passes muster. The performances are just about ok. For Kishore, it is an author-backed role and he performs well. Naresh looks like a male version of Lakshmi Manchu when he speaks English. Amala is natural. There is nothing much to expect from others.Technically, the cinematography is fine. Mickey J Meyer's songs are boring, the BGM is good enough.
Rating: 2.25/5
The Director made this movie by neglecting the masses. He has made this movie, keeping his own interest in mind, neglecting the interest of the audience. If one wants to watch different stories all at once, then they can watch the movie, otherwise better to stay away!
Rating: 2.0/5
With all due respects for Praveen Sattaru’s honest intent, let me sum it up. Chandamama Kathalu is a quite a boring film. The first half of the film is dreadfully slow paced and the second half gets pass marks. If you got to watch the film this weekend, find your own reasons as I can not!
Rating: 2.0/5
The first half of the film tests your patience with slow pace. Things get slightly better in the second half. But as the film ends, the director winds up the stories quickly with out proper justification and logic. Finally Chandamama Kathalu is too boring attempt to sit back and enjoy. Pat on the back for Praveen Sattaru for the intent and slap on the face for the poor execution.
Rating: 2.0/5
The review was actually supposed to cover each of the 8 different stories, but why make it abysmally long and boring for readers when not more than one or two deserved a mention.

Lakshmi Manchu's performance is top notch as a super model in the later stages of her career. The makers should be appreciated for selecting a very rare genre in Telugu but the final product is not as expected.

Movie run's on a very slow pace and the stories are not properly conceived.

Watch it if you have nothing else to do!
