Rating: 3.25/5
'Asura' is a classy action thriller that is refreshingly different from the routine and formulaic commercial entertainers that we keep watching every Friday. Rohith's power packed performance, good twists in the story and a short run time are big assets for the movie. For those seeking mainstream commercial entertainment, like comedy, the film's appeal may be limited. Otherwise, you will enjoy the film.

sura is a classy action entertainer that thrills you with unique and aptly placed twists. Krishna Vijay proves his mettle as a promising filmmaker. While the movie is technically high with graceful performances on action front, director could have concentrated on commercial aspects such as comedy and romance – to make it appealing to all centers of audiences.
Rating: 3.0/5
First half of the film is decent. Second half is sluggish. But climax makes up for it. Nara Rohit and sensible direction are plusses of the movie. But, a sluggish second half (which is a common feature in thrillers where some unexpected twist is shown at end) is a minus. On a whole, Asura is a different attempt and will be liked by the ones who like films of different genres.
Rating: 3.0/5
Second half slides down after a neatly done first half. Director throws in a surprising twist that saves the day for Asura. This may not be the film that could mint money at the box office as it lacks the entertainment that the majority audiences look out for. It is a sincere and honest attempt that will appeal to niche audience. Nara Rohith has once again come up with a film that has potential but the director lets him down with just okay execution.
Rating: 2.75/5
From the technical department, Venkatesh’s music reminds one of Gharshana. The best part is that the film’s length is two hours which is the saving grace. And the film shows that the director is new to film-making. Had he written a better script and handled the characters differently, the film could have had a chance at the box office.
Rating: 2.5/5
As the project is piled up in a shoe-string budget, ‘Asura’ can be a commercially well worked venture to keep the makers in safe hands. Adoration from lower class centers is doubtful while classes are likely to acknowledge the efforts of Krishna Vijay and Rohit.
Rating: 2.5/5
Krishna Vijay came with interesting cop story. He narrated it quite well with good screenplay and direction. However slow pace and drags in the first and second half acted as speed breakers. He however made it up with good climax.
