Rating: 3.5/5
Sukumar should be appreciated for making a risky subject with big league hero like Mahesh Babu. Likely all Sukumar movies, hero characterization is very very tough in Nenokkadine. Bit more tighter screenplay would have made the movie more interesting but the present screenplay is fine with twists and turns. Cinematography by Ratnavelu is top notch
Rating: 3.5/5
All in all, 1-Nenokkadine is a great execution of this interesting genre. The movie might appeal to the viewers seeking quality in variety and food for thought, but not to those who are comfortable watching the clichéd entertainment.
Rating: 3.5/5
Sukumar made 1 Nenokkadine with his full concentration knowing risk of big budget movie. He included commericial elements and made sure that intense action and superb emotional scenes in the movie. We have to appreciate his screenplay. The main thing before we review other aspects is Screenplay.
Rating: 3.25/5
First things first. 1 Nenokkadine is not an universal film like Dookudu. It belongs to psychological thriller genre. Thriller and psychological are two rare genres that are least attempted in Telugu film industry. It’s also a multi-layered movie. Plus points of film are Mahesh Babu, screenplay, cinematography, production values and technical values. On the flip side, the sluggish narration and excessive runtime hampers the tempo. When three big names - Mahesh Babu, Sukumar and 14 Reels are involved in making such a high-budgeted film, there are bound to be a lot of expectations. 1 Nenokkadine is not a commercial potboiler. Film lovers who have exposure to Hollywood films and world cinema will appreciate this movie. 1 Nenokkadine is a film that makes Mahesh, Sukumar, producers and entire unit proud. We need to wait and see how a common movie lover who is used to formulaic films lap it up.
Rating: 3.0/5
if you are looking for pure masala pot boiler, this film is not for you. The film will be appealed to those who like Hollywood action thrillers with gripping screenplay. Don’t expect ‘Dookudu’ or ‘Businessman’ kind of dialogues from Mahesh Babu. He is one serious guy on a mission in this movie

The BEST PERFORMANCE by Superstar so far.Hats off to the producers to believe in such a Risky Plot and director Sukumar for his taking and yes big actor like Mahesh to work on this Project.Youth, Families, Mass, Class, Everyone.... Watch it for Sukumar & Mahesh
Rating: 3.0/5
This is really the Director’s inefficiency. He is unable to understand how to utilise a Star like Mahesh. He should make movies with brillance. But ,if a movie is made with so much brillance, then it becomes a Kangali. As it is felt that the movie brings Sankranthi, two days before, now its great if it stays till Sankranthi.
Rating: 3.0/5
Mahesh is completely seen in a serious and new look. Movie satisfied the comments as a huge project. Action scenes and chases will for sure entertain audience. Peter Haynes should be applauded. Heroine is fine. Comedy is missing in the movie. Cinematography, First Half fight sequences and DSP’s background score are all in tune with the mood of the film.
Rating: 3.0/5
Not many directors dare to include commercial elements in a psychological thriller, but Sukumar has done it very nicely without harming the tempo of 1: Nenokkadine. Since it is a big-budget movie, he has balanced the content and commercial viability of the film. He has embedded it with plenty of intense action and excellent emotional sequences in the movie. His screenplay will give you new experience.
Rating: 3.0/5
Director fails to be Keep One movie at one place. The film half of the film is dragged scenes bit relaxation with interval scene. There is no comedy to engage casual moviegoers and Mahesh Babu’s fans will be disappointed with the lack of heroism in the film. The climax is a big disappointment. But some of the chase sequences have been shot well and Ratnavelu’s cinematography is a big asset for the movie.

Gautam (Mahesh Babu) is a rock star. He is single-handedly and his parents are murdered when he was a child. He needs to take revenge on the murderers of his mother and father. However, he has a psychological problem. Sameera (Kriti Sanon) a journalist enters Gautham’s (Mahesh Babu) life and fall in love with him.

So the bottom line is simple. The Tollywood format of six songs, five fights and loads of entertainment and melodrama makes it impossible to respectably adapt racy Hollywood styled suspense thrillers.
Rating: 2.75/5
Just 'one' and only Mahesh!!The film has come in with a lot of hype but then it must be said that it is quite different from the regular commercial potboilers.
Rating: 2.75/5
It’s Mahesh Babu’s show all the way. His terrific screen presence is the saving grace of the film. 1 is the story of a distressed child who sees his parents being killed at young age. He doesn’t remember his parents faces, but in the form of nightmares he memorizes faces of killers.1 Nenokkadine psychological play game and Sukumar makes an intellectual effort in few of the scenes, especially the twists and the interval bang are extremely good. The interval bang at the doubt of realism or vision is well-framed. Scenes of Mahesh trying to fathom if his vision is indeed true including few twists in the second half are impressive.
Rating: 2.75/5
Mahesh Babu's brilliant performance is the only saving grace for this film. He has put in heart and soul in to the character and gave everything to it. But director Sukumar got it completely wrong and 1 ends up as an experiment that went horribly wrong.
Rating: 2.75/5
In 1 Nenokkadine, individual sequences seep coolness but the same cannot be said if we see it in totality. Apart from Mahesh Babu’s stunning performance, the drive of the film is completely off the track. It disappoints.
Rating: 2.75/5
Sukumar is one director that makes movies with out of box ideas and novel themes. He doesn’t try to do regular mass masala movies and always comes up with something new. Even 1 Nenokkadine has a very unique plot, but he failed to execute it well. He couldn’t blend the action and the psychological angle of the hero in a proper way and the movie end up as a torture to the audience.
Rating: 2.75/5
The much hype surrounded on ’1 – Nenokkadine’ kills the expectations. Except for Mahesh Babu’s outstanding performance in the film, there is nothing in the film to entertain movie. Mahesh Babu Stardom only will help the producers to see some good revenues in 1week.
Rating: 2.75/5
The film has all the ingredients you'd expect in a thriller, but without the hard-hitting thrills it fails to make audience sit through the end. Cinematography, First Half fight sequences and DSP’s background score are all in tune with the mood of the film. But there still is something lacking that makes the film a dragged one. That something perhaps concerns the pace of the film or its setting and packaging. Be that as it may, director Sukumar and his team must be appreciated for having ventured to make a rather different kind of a movie with a very striking end. For fans of <br>the Bourne-Bond type of thrillers, 1 Nenokkadine may seem a disappointment, except perhaps for the Interval, which has been worked out rather well. For the rest of the audience its one time watch for Mahesh Babu’s performance
Rating: 2.75/5
The movie was made with a huge budget in a short period of time however the movie was released with a lot of expectations but there were two side of talk on the movie after the first show of the movie. Whatever it may be the movie is not so bad or good, we can say it is OK.
Rating: 2.75/5
Every suspense thriller means, it will have a flashback story and should engage the audience with the screenplay, for this kind of action suspense murder thriller director Sukumar tried to manage at his best. The complete first half of the movie goes on in choosing what is real and what is dream and after this the chasing sequences in the movie kick starts which feels like okay okay. Coming to the second part, there the things starts to turn in the audience mind and finally it loses its pulse when coming to the climax part.
Rating: 2.5/5
Films are the cheapest and most common form of entertainment in Andhra Pradesh. A normal layman to a businessman watch films to pass his time and enjoy it. But 1-Nenokkadine is not like you can sit back and enjoy, you have to be attentive to understand it in the first place with the complex story and screenplay. And as the movie deals with hallucination and illusions, the logic takes a toss number of times. Simply, the movie fails to live up to its promise.
Rating: 2.5/5
The story line is very thin. The director has been able to bring in an emotional confrontation into the story, which is fine. 1 Nenokkadine has very little to cheer about in terms of the story which looks like a hotchpotch of sequences. It seems to meander in the second half where the director fails to handle the emotional bond in the movie. The director's shortcomings are evident in the way he handles the narrative. The point of convergence where the three tales finally meet is a terrible disappointment. There is a tiny twist here that would act as a spoiler if revealed
Rating: 2.5/5
Given the time, money that has gone into the making and the hype that has been created there was enough happening in the audience minds when they waited for the film to take off. But after few minutes of the start, the mind goes blank and is basically trying to figure out what or why is it necessary to strain the brain so much. Well, Sukumar has not left his signature style and worked a lot on the psychological aspect. In fact, the entire story revolves around the protagonist and his internal conflict, the action sequences and romance were just accessories which brought some energy into the whole plot.
Rating: 2.5/5
Barring Mahesh's character, there is not much going for 1. Watch it with low expectations. , Barring Mahesh's character, there is not much going for 1. Watch it with low expectations.
Rating: 2.5/5
Sukumar tried to show Mahesh Babu in a different manner. But he failed to do so due to his inexperience in handling super star like Mahesh. The story of the film is bit confusion for the mass viewers to understand. The film's pace goes up and down and the length of the film is a big minus. Lack of entertainment, romance, comedy etc and dragged climax spoiled the plot. Wonder what the director was doing for the last two years. Mahesh Babu's performance is highlight of the film. Except for 10 minutes prior to the interval and the interval bang nothing in the film interests. Had the climax been shot in similar fashion, film would have made the cut.
Rating: 2.5/5
Nenokkadine is released with much expectations and the director disappoints Mahesh fan's in this aspect. The film's first half starts with a boring note and ends up with huge disappointment due to Director's weak narration and dragging scenes. Except for few scenes the film's total scenes is wasted which one might definately check in when watched this film.

As ‘One-Nenokkadine’ marks the combo of Mahesh-Sukumar-14 Reels, the huge expectations are bound to happen. But, the movie failed to reach it. This Psychological thriller missed much-needed wow factor, if Sukumar had focused on it, the movie would have become blockbuster. A tight screenplay and fast narration are must and should for this type of flick, but missed.Overall, One-Nenokkadine’ is just a Mahesh’s show
Rating: 2.5/5
This isn’t your customary paisa vasool, masala cinema and may not be everyone’s cup of tea. If you're disposed to invest some patience and soak in the mood of a film that endeavors to appeal to an audience that’s used to visually examining global cinema, 1 will not disappoint. In this visually stunning film, Mahesh Babu distributes his vocation-best performance.
Rating: 2.5/5
First half is slow paced, it's only at the interval the pace picks up but the bang is perfect. Few Goa episode scenes could have been trimmed. The second half picks up pace though it could have been much more effective instead of lengthy chases which neither adds thrill factor. Climax is unnecessarily dragged. The entertainment factors are missing and run length plays the spoil sport.
Rating: 2.25/5
The emotional theme of memory and remembrance is a fantastic thought but Sukumar fails to realize the full potential of this powerful emotion. By the time he shows it the audience are so exhausted that they really don’t care what’s happening on screen. This has to be the biggest missed opportunity in the past few years to achieve something truly phenomenal.
Rating: 2.25/5
Mahesh has put 100% effort again and tried maximum to entertain with serious look and chiselled body. But what is surprising is that why a rock-star background is setup for the hero when it is not used to support the story quite well. Couple of new dance steps and hero’s shirtless scene will bring goose bumps. Had Sukumar maintained the same wow factor throughout the flick, then the result would have become an industry record.

1 Nenokkadine movie looks like Holly wood movie This is diffrent format movie in telugu .Mahesh babu is rock star , Kriti sanon is Journalist . This movie story is diffrent and takes time to Understand .Normal audience feel little bit confusion Mahesh babu asual rocked with his performance and main minus in this is movie is Drag .very lengthy movie. Length is minus .story is ok up to some extent but Sukumar failed to convey story .
Rating: 2.0/5
Usually we get disappointed if we watch any film with very huge expectations. But 1-Nenokkadine will disappoint you even if you watch it with zero expectations. Mahesh fans may watch it once. Others can walk out after the great interval episode. Few trade pundits opine 1-Nenokkadine’s fate depends on result of Yevadu. But I feel 1 is a suicide case. It doesn’t need any other film to kill it.
Rating: 2.0/5
The First Half of the movie will be dragged a lot and full of confusion. Because of the Lengthy Runtime(166 mins) and lack of highlights in the movie, it will make audience feel bored. Sentiment worked well before pre climax and Action scenes and Bike Chases also impressed the audience. The only thing which is interesting in this movie is Lead pair Mahesh and Kriti Sanon. Sukumar choosed a complicated script which requires high effort to make it a success but he failed to reach the common audience.
Business Of Tollywood
Rating: 2.0/5
The story is good with a new concept to Tollywood and director Sukumar dared to experiment such a thing with a Super Star. He tried his best to add the entertainment quotient to the movie without much deviation from the story. But the second half is little dragging and even a little more is expected in terms of story.
Rating: --
Nenokkadine is excellent and will impress all classes of audience. A few sentimental scenes slows down the pace of narration in the second half. But the superb climax that lasts for 15 minutes will compensate it. The dragging narration in the second half and lack of entertainment quotient are its big drawbacks. The viewers will surely walk out of theatre with contented heart.
Rating: --
For all the hype surrounding the movie, ’1 – Nenokkadine’ ends up as a disappointment. Except for Mahesh Babu’s outstanding performance in the film, there is nothing in the film to entice or entertain movie lovers. The needlessly complex plot and excessive run time make things worse. Because of Mahesh Babu’s stardom and the Sankranthi season, the film may pull in good revenues in week 1.

From any standards, Sukumar needs to tone down his brainpower. He is a true genius attempted to change the priorities and definition of Telugu movie watching. In simple, this is like a Hollywood product served to Tollywood audience. Lots of judgment, bundles of intelligence, loads of mental alertness etc are needed to bear this film with abundant patience. While one can definitely praise IQ levels of Sukku, even viewers have to match his caliber and skill to decide the commercial penetration of product. May be, for B & C center audience, ‘1 Nenokkadine’ is like a tail-end Indian batsman playing to South African bowlers deadly beamers.

1: Nenokkadine could be a marvelous psychological heroic Story, which can attractive any or all categories of audience. The motion-picture show has Mahesh Babu’s wonderful performance, Sukumar sensible direction, and superb technical stuff. it’s a fractional monetary unit vasool somebody that may stay as a classic and landmark film within the career of Mahesh and Sukumar. Do not miss to observe the motion-picture show this weekend.

As a surprise there’s Devi Sri Prasad’s background score that’s so different from his regular fare. He’s been given the chance to push the envelope and boy, he does it so well.
